Learn the exciting technique of thread drawing using freemotion machine embroidery!
Discover how to use your basic home sewing machine to create your very own thread drawings.
Juliet will carefully guide you through every step of this fun and creative technique through demonstrations, tuition and practical support.Select your chosen design from provided images and resources or bring your own ideas if you prefer. Learn the basics of freemotion embroidery inclusing how to prepare your machine to free sew, how to transfer your designs to fabric, draw with the machine and add details & embelishments to your designs with threads and fabrics. There will be plenty of opportunity for practice, trouble shooting, skill building and experimentation!

If you have already done a workshop with Juliet or have some basic knowldge of using freehand machine embroidery then this workshop is perfect for you.
You know the basics, now it's time to really get creative! Bring a thread drawing project you would like to work on or come along and be inspired! Juliet will guide and inspire through demonstrating techniques, 1:1 tuition and practical support. There will be plenty of opportunity for practice, trouble shooting, skill building and experimentation!
